About Us
Sarah Mynard is the Sole Principal of Wisdom Law. She obtained her law qualifications
(LLB) at Queen Mary & Westfield College, London University and Guildford Law
School. She trained at renowned London City firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and
moved to Farrington & Whiting in Brighton in 1991 where
she qualified as a Solicitor.
In 1993 Sarah was made a salaried Partner with Farrington &
Whiting and in 1996 when the firm merged and became Farrington
Webb (now Griffith Smith Farrington Webb) she was made an equity Partner heading
up the firm’s Litigation Department.
During this time she obtained a master’s degree in Personal Injury law (LLM)
with De Montfort University and served for many years as Secretary of the Sussex
Law Society and sat on the Appeals Committee at the Legal Services Commission (formerly
the Legal Aid Board).
Sarah was a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel between 1996
and 2007 and undertook a secondment working at the Action for
Victims of Medical Accidents. She has been accredited as a Senior Litigator by the
Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). She set up a Consortium of Personal
Injury Lawyers called Accident Line Sussex a specialist group endorsed by the Law
Society as experts in providing advice in Personal Injury cases.
Sarah has specialised in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Law since 1991
and developed a niche interest in Dental Negligence in 2000.
She has personally conducted over 100 dental negligence cases and supervised many
more.
Sarah pioneered the use of No Win No Fee Agreements in Clinical Negligence cases
and lobbied Parliament for a change in the law to make it compulsory for dentists
to have professional indemnity insurance, resulting in a change in the law. It will
soon be compulsory for all dentists to hold indemnity insurance.
Sarah’s interests are swimming, cycling, books, theatre, children and charity
work. She sat on the original Martlets Hospice Committee raising money to build
the new hospice and organised numerous fund raising events. She participated in
a soup run for the homeless whilst training to be a Solicitor. In 2002
she climbed Mount Kiliminjaro and raised over £9,000 for Whizz-Kidz. Most
recently she ran 10k for Sports’ Relief in 2008.
