She trained at renowned London City firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and moved to Farrington & Whiting in Brighton in 1991 where she qualified as a Solicitor.

During this time she obtained a master’s degree in Personal Injury law (LLM) with De Montfort University and served for many years as Secretary of the Sussex Law Society and sat on the Appeals Committee at the Legal Services Commission (formerly the Legal Aid Board).

Sarah pioneered the use of No Win No Fee Agreements in Clinical Negligence cases and lobbied Parliament for a change in the law to make it compulsory for dentists to have professional indemnity insurance, resulting in a change in the law. It will soon be compulsory for all dentists to hold indemnity insurance.

Sarah’s interests are swimming, cycling, books, theatre, children and charity work. She sat on the original Martlets Hospice Committee raising money to build the new hospice and organised numerous fund raising events. She participated in a soup run for the homeless whilst training to be a Solicitor. In 2002 she climbed Mount Kiliminjaro and raised over £9,000 for Whizz-Kidz.
